LAYTON -- Blanche Crawley Holbrook, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Friday, May 16, 2008, at her home in Layton. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Blanche was born on Nov. 8, 1923,in Kaysville, Utah, to Ir-vin and Leah

Stokes Crawley. Blanche graduated from Davis High School Class of 1942. Blanche married the love of her life, Max Holbrook, in the Salt Lake Temple on June 24, 1942. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last year.

She worked with real estate during her life and worked side by side with her husband and family in many family businesses. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission later in life with her husband.

Together Blanche and Max reared four sons. Blanche's greatest pleasure was to be surrounded by her family who loved her dearly.

Blanche was preceded in death by her husband Max, son Phillip Ryan Holbrook, and siblings James Crawley and Helen Langford.

Surviving are her three other sons, Max Crawley (Wendi Wolfard) Holbrook, [Tamra DuRain, Katie Frederiksen, John, Mark, David and Michael Holbrook]; Brad Lee (JoLinn) Holbrook, [Britnie Johnsen and Jacob Holbrook]; Gregory Paul (Karen) Holbrook [Angela Davis, Michelle Pineda, Bryson, Joseph, and Joshua Holbrook]; and her daughter-in-law Barbara Holbrook [Marilee Cole, Holly Platt, Jennifer Wright, Ryan, Matthew, and Eric Holbrook]. Survived by her siblings Fred and Irvin Crawley, and Faye Sisam. Blanche has 19 grandchildren and 38+ great-grandchildren. Blanche and the family want to thank Dr. Thomas Caine, the Huntsman Cancer staff and Vista Care Hospice.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at the Snow Canyon Ward, 2475 N. Valley View Drive, Layton.

Friends and family called Monday, May 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Road or Tuesday, May 20, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Snow Canyon Ward.

Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
