LAYTON -- Reservations are being accepted for "Create Changes Day," an annual fundraiser for the Safe Harbor Crisis Center and the Mary Kay Charitable Foun-dation, set for Oct. 16

"Create Changes Day will give women the opportunity to pamper themselves with a mini-massage, manicure and makeover for $15, with the proceeds going to charity. It will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, 1695 Woodland Park Drive, in Layton from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The event is being held to focus on issues, including the prevention of domestic violence and breast cancer research.

Safe Harbor is Davis County's shelter for women and their children escaping domestic violence situations. The Mary Kay Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization providing funds for cancer research and women's issues of domestic violence.

"We at Mary Kay are committed to helping the local community," said the event's chairperson Patty Conner-Rose. "This fundraiser will be of great help to Safe Harbor and the women who are affected by domestic violence."

Reservations are recommended and can be made by contacting Conner-Rose at 801-771-8896 or 801-391-5099.
