Davis County women are invited to participate in Church Women United's World Day of Prayer, 2004 at either of two locations.
This year's celebration was written by women living in Panama. An offering to the ongoing work of CWU will be taken, portions of which will be designated for women's internationally and in the United States, as well as support for the ongoing work of the World Day of Prayer International Committee.
The first celebration will be on Friday, March 5, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 1704 S. 500 East, Salt Lake City, Registration is at 9:30 a.m., with the program set for 10 a.m. Cost of the event is $1. A luncheon is available for $4 by calling Elouise Schwab, 278-5027. Child care is available upon request. An outreach project will be for children of Panama.
Then, on March 6, the celebration will also be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 5560 S. 2300 West, Roy. Registration will be at 9:30 a.m. and will cost $2.
The program begins at 10 a.m. Light refreshments will follow and child care id available upon request. Those attending are asked to bring nonperishable food items for SHARE.
