FARMINGTON -- It was a quieter Democratic Party Convention Saturday, April 16, what with no general political elections this year. Municipal elections are planned, but they are non-partisan. County Democratic Chair-man Richard Watson was re-elected in the meeting at Farmington Junior High School. About 100 delegates plus visitors attended. Also re-elected were Peggy Howe, vice-chair, Pat Herrera, secretary, and Marilyn Hall, treasurer.
Former state legislator/ House minority leader Frank Pignanelli spoke, urging attendees to "keep our heads up," while Watson spoke to unity among party leaders and party faithful.
In the meantime, local Democrats are invited to monthly breakfast meetings every second Saturday, 8:30 a.m., at Granny Annie's Restaurant in Kaysville.
