Davis Hospital and Medical Center awards scholarships

DAVIS COUNTY -- The Volunteer Auxiliary at Davis Hospital and Medical Center recently awarded four scholarships. Three of the students are junior volunteers at Davis Hospital, and one is a Registered Nurse pursuing further education. Karman Hu, is a Junior Volunteer, and a student of Clearfield High School. She is a member of the National Honor Society, and plans to attend University of Utah. Arra Manubay, a student at Roy High School, and also in the Junior Volunteer program at Davis Hospital. She is currently a CNA and plans to attend Weber State University. Kimberly Burton, a student of Viewmont High, has been a member of the Junior Volunteers for four years and plans to attend Weber State University. Ashley Tanner will attend WSU after graduation from Viewmont High school. She is currently completing her CNA certificate from DATC and is a member of HOSA.

Jeremy Ziegler is a registered nurse at Davis Hospital and Medical Center on the Surgical Floor. He is currently enrolled in the BS Nursing Program at Weber State University. (no photo available).

Davis Hospital's Volunteer Auxiliary awards scholarships annually to students who have been active in the Junior Volunteer program and to employees furthering their educational goals. Funding for the scholarship program comes from fund-raising activities sponsored by the Auxiliary.
