At a court of honor held March 10, Troop 770 of the Orchard 5th Ward recognized three new Eagle Scouts and also awarded Silver Palms to two others. Honored were Clark Evans, son of Scott and Claudia Evans; Reese Nielsen Jr., son of Reese and Tammy Nielsen; and Adam Hunsaker, son of Mark and Joyce Hunsaker. These young men were respectively the 105th, 106th and 107th Eagle Scouts of Troop 770. Clark Evans was also awarded the Bronze Palm. In addition to the three new Eagle Scouts, Silver Palms were awarded to Brady Heaps, son of Bishop Dennis and Claudia Heaps and to Ray Butler, son of Van and Shauna Butler. Ray is the 100th Eagle Scout of Troop 770. Troop 770 was organized in January 1970. Very few Scout troops exceed the level of 100 Eagle Scouts. Of these 107 Eagle Scouts over the past 36 years, only eight have earned the Silver Palm, the highest award earned by Scouts.
