BOUNTIFUL -- The Bountiful/Davis Art Center will open its annual Davis School District High School Students and Art Educators Exhibition on Friday, April 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the center. Awards in copy and illustrative work, creative and original work, 3-D work and photography will be given. The awards ceremony will begin at 8 p.m. The art show will be slightly different this year than in years past. One of the main differences is the fact that all Davis County high school students are eligible to submit work. In past years, only high school seniors were allowed to do so. "The student work is always innovative and creative," Emma J. Dugal, Programs Coordinator at the BDAC said.
"This is one of the most exciting annual exhibits we do at the Art Center. We are amazed at what the students come up with. Much of this is due to the excellent art educators we have in Davis School District."
The companion exhibit will highlight works of art by Davis School District art educators.
Both exhibits are at Bountiful/Davis Art Center through May 12, 2006.
