The junior third baseman provided the thump in the middle of the lineup the Wildcats desperately needed, batting .445 with an on-base-percentage of .590 with six doubles and seven RBI during the state tourney.

Bountiful softball
Smith put on a hitting clinic during the 4-A state softball tournament last week. She ripped a home run in the Lady Braves' narrow loss to eventual champions Box Elder and went 3-3 in a win over Bonneville.
