OGDEN -- Tickets are still available for the Ogden LDS Institute of Religion's Spring Variety Show. The 43rd annual show, "Brother Joseph," will be offered at 7:30 p.m. on April 15-16 and at 2:30 p.m. during a special matinee on April 16. It will be performed in the Weber State University Val A. Browning Center, Austad Auditorium. More than 300 students, most hailing from Weber and Davis counties with others from across North America, perform in this extravaganza as members of the Institute's Choralaires, Chorale, and Folk Dance Team.

Suggested donations are: adults, $4; seniors (60 and older) and children, $3; family,$15. The matinee, $10 per family. Currently enrolled Institute students may attend free if tickets are picked up in the institute office by noon on April 15.

The play marks the 200th anniversary of the birth of the LDS prophet. The testimony and works that were brought forth through him began the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. The show will present many songs, scenes, and dances that portray the life of Joseph Smith Jr. and the events surrounding it.

The script to "Brother Joseph" was written by Jon Woodstock who, along with Dan Ritchie, directs the Chorale. Jerry Simon directs the audition choir, Choralaires, and Tom Nelson and his wife Susan are the advisors for the Folk Dance team.

Patrons are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at the Ogden LDS Institute office, or from members of the cast. For more information, call 621-1800.
