CENTERVILLE -- A ribbon-cutting ceremony and public open house will mark the official opening of Centerville's Health Center Thursday, at noon. Following the ribbon-cutting the center will be host to an open house which will include free health screenings from Sept. 18-22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The University Health Care Center is a new clinic in Davis County. The open house festivities include free health screenings where members of the community can test their glucose and cholesterol levels, body fat and blood pressure. There will also be giveaways, free child ID kits, and tours of the health center, giving the public an opportunity to meet the physicians: Steve Lore, M.D., Brett Morrill, D.O., and Ryan Rushton, D.P.M.
The center specializes in family medicine, and also offers podiatry, pharmacy, laboratory, and X-ray services. The center's streamlined registration process and same-day appointments eliminate lengthy waiting times.
The Centerville Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment, call 693-7900.
