KAYSVILLE -- How to devise plans to make sure employees are safe in the workplace will be the topic of the latest Utah Department of Workforce Services Employer Seminar slated for Wednesday, June 21. Entitled "Warning: Workplace Safety Is No Accident," the event will be held 8-9:30 a.m. at the Davis Applied Technology College, 550 E. 300 South in Kaysville. The cost is $10 per person (pay at the door) which includes a continental breakfast and all seminar materials. Registration will be held 7:30-8 a.m. The program will feature two speakers. Robert Bushell has been a Human Resource Manager with Home Depot for five-and-a-half years. During that time, he served one year as the Utah, Idaho, Reno District Safety Manager for Home Depot where he re-ceived National Safety Council Certification.

Bushell recently completed the C.E.R.T. training and certification program, in which he serves as a District Captain. He has also completed the OSHA 10-hour certification course.

Born and raised in Farr West/Plain City, Utah, Bushell began working in retail sales in 1986 and has been in the business since, save for a two-year LDS mission to Brazil. There he learned to speak and write Portuguese fluently. Besides Portuguese, he speaks three additional languages -- Spanish, American Sign and "a little bit of English."

The second speaker, Kyle Head, has been with Home Depot for two-and-a-half years as a store Assistant Manager and store Human Resource Manager, his current position. Previous to Home Depot, he worked 10 years as an Assistant Store Manager and Auto Center Store Manager for Sears.

Head has a bachelor's degree from Weber State University in Communications/Public Relations and is four months from completing an MBA with an emphasis in Human Resources.
