'Clover Club' parcel set for park
KAYSVILLE -- The Kaysville City Council voted to rezone 5.5 acres of property at 100 East and 200 North from General Commercial to Public Use against the recommendation of the Planning Commis-sion Tuesday night. The vote further confirms the council's commitment to build a park on the parcel of land.
Concerns over street alignments, improvements to the streets and property, and the acquisition of property caused the Planning Commission to strongly recommend to the council that they postpone the rezone until most issues were resolved. Despite those concerns, the council unanimously voted in favor of the rezone.
Foster care sessions set
BOUNTIFUL -- Training sessions are being set up for September in Bountiful by the Utah Foster Care Foundation.
"We still have a huge need for families in the Davis County area," says Brenda Durtschi, director of the Northern Utah office of the Foundation.
"We particularly are in need of those families who will take siblings and older children," she said. Thirty-two hours of free training are offered during four weekly sessions.
