SYRACUSE -- Representatives from the state will hold a Medicare seminar at the city hall on Jan. 18 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The officials involved encourage all to bring with them their prescriptions and dosage information. From there, the representatives will show those present how to take advantage of the Medicare prescription drug service. For more information, call Beth at 825-1477. The city Web site has been down for the past month for renovations. The new site is anticipated to be finished at any time and will be much easier to navigate and provide more information.

The schedule for city council meetings for 2006 will be the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in city hall.

The planning commission will meet each first and third Tuesday at 6 p.m. All meetings are public and residents are encouraged and invited to attend.
