WOODS CROSS -- After more than 30 years of offering Davis County quality appliances with excellent local service, Charlie Fuller's Appliance will continue its hometown tradition just down the road at its new location in Woods Cross. "We moved all our stuff in back in July, and this is the third time we've moved in 32 years," said employee Jeff Hatch. "Our original location was on 2nd West in Bountiful, and after that it was on 500 West in West Bountiful where the new Lowe's Home Improvement is being constructed. We will have a grand reopening at our new location either the last week of September or the first week in October."

The new location is now at 1290 South 500 West in Woods Cross, which is east of the Joy Luck Restaurant and across the street from the old Andy's Shell Station on 500 West. Although Charlie Fuller's had moved because of the construction of Lowe's, representatives say they are satisfied with the new location and ready to continue its tradition of local and friendly service for the community.

"We are excited about our new store," said Richard Layton, Fuller's appliance specialist for the past seven years. "We are remodeling and will soon have full kitchen displays and new displays for our appliances."

In addition to the move, Fuller's is preparing to offer customers a one-stop whole kitchen makeover, and they can also help customers overhaul their old, outdated laundry rooms. The new store will also now offer kitchen cabinet and countertop design.

"We are now offering custom kitchen, cabinet and countertop designs that will be a perfect match to new appliances, and we're also now offering Traeger brand grills," Hatch said. "I pride myself on taking small spaces and turning them into modern functional additions to the home. I've been with Charlie's for three years now, but I've been designing kitchens for more than 20 years."

Fuller's has entered a partnership with Heritage Cabinets to assist in offering customers custom cabinetry at low prices. Their appliance strength is their experienced employees who have been in the business and made home remodeling and customer service their career. Their local approach to sales and service has also made them a trusted name within the community for so many years.

More than 20 commercial contractors continue to utilize their local service for many of Davis County's new and remodeled homes. Layton said another strength of Fuller's is the quality brands they offer such as Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Frigidaire and Viking, and the fact that giving the customers a quality experience is still a top priority.

"We feel the most important thing we can offer is great customer service," he said.

Hatch said he agreed that customer service is the most important thing Fuller's can offer, and that because of their good ongoing customer service, business has currently been doing well at their new location.

"We've had a good flow of people so far, and although it hasn't been slower than we'd like, it could always be busier," he said. "We've had a good mix of both new customers and older ones who followed us, but we still have to get our name and new address out there. We are happy with this new spot, which is about the same size as our old one, and we're glad to make it ours."
