BOUNTIFUL -- For the first time Bountiful/Davis Art Center will be host to artwork from graduates attending the University of Utah, Brigham Young University and Utah State University will be displayed until next month. The exhibition opens with a public reception Friday evening, Oct. 6, from 7 until 9 p.m. The exhibition runs through Nov. 3.

Close to 29 graduate students from the three universities will participate in this show at BDAC. Working in a wide range of media and styles, MA candidates will give art center patrons a glimpse of their visual arts education in Utah's three major universities.

"The idea of organizing this exhibition is to highlight the work of individuals who are pursuing their art training and careers in a graduate school setting," said Arley Curtz, BDAC director.

"I think it is important to show what is being taught in university settings and present that for visitors of the center to see."

The presentation is titled "Chairmen's Choice: Graduate Students from University Art Departments".

Elizabeth Peterson, University of Utah; Robert Marshall, Brigham Young University; and John Neeley, Utah State University collaborated in bringing the artwork together.
