Medicare part D enrollment begins again for seniors

DAVIS COUNTY -- Open enrollment for Medicare part D started Wednesday. Meanwhile three separate information sessions will run in December to prepare Davis County residents before the Jan. 1 cutoff. Davis County Health Department experts will counsel participants at the following three senior centers:

Autumn Glow Senior Activity Center, Tuesday, Dec. 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the 81 E. Center Street, Kaysville.

Heritage Center Senior Activity Center, Monday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 140 E. Center Street, Clear-field.

Golden Years Senior Activity Center, Monday, Dec. 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 726 S. 100 East, Bountiful.

Staff members from the Davis County Health Department will answer questions regarding Medicare Part D drug plans and assist with enrollment.

Participants will need to come prepared with a list of their prescriptions and their Medicare card.

Medicare recipients will want to talk to their doctors and employees about joining a plan before they make final decisions.
