1944-2007
BOUNTIFUL -- Thomas Woolley Elggren returned to his Heavenly Father, Sunday, June 17, 2007 after a valiant battle with cancer. Family and friends supported him through many health challenges and he died knowing he was loved.
Tom was born in SLC, Utah to John Elmer and Elaine Woolley Elggren. He married Jane Ellis, his eternal sweetheart, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, September 7, 1966. Tom worked for the Church Education System as an instructor for 34 years, dedicated his whole life in building the kingdom of God, and will continue to do so in the spirit world. He enjoyed serving as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple.
His favorite callings were those he shared with Jane, such as: Gospel Doctrine, Parenting, and Dance instructors. He helped many people with his counseling skills. He was a wonderful gardener and fisherman, and he loved to spend special occasions, holidays and vacations with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; five daughters and two sons: Lucinda, Teresa, LaiLoni, Cozette, Katrina, Michael and Matthew; seven grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Patricia, Barbara, John, Mark and Robert; and "Mom", Marva Young Elggren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Mueller Park 3rd Ward Chapel, 1825 South 850 East, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
