OGDEN -- Learn about creepy crawlers, awesome owls, baffling bats and other denizens of the dark at Ö CREATURES OF THE NIGHT Friday, Oct. 27, 6-8 p.m. at Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th Street in Ogden. Cost is $5 for Ogden Nature Center members and $6 for non-members.

All ages are welcome. Dress for outdoor weather; this event will be held rain or shine. Costumes are welcome for our costume contest.

The whole family is invited to the Ogden Nature Center for a fun, non-frightful evening of trailside adventures!

Highlights include:

- Over 20 spider species on display.

- A nighttime creep along our lit pumpkin pond where you'll learn about creatures that roam through the forest at night.

- Florescent painting in the bat cave.

- A "freaky facts" scavenger hunt.

- Learn about bats and meet some of our resident owls.

- Music, stories and Halloween goodies around the campfire.

- Halloween fun with pin the nose on the pumpkin, apple bobbing, fortune telling, face painting, a fish pond and more.

- Three craft stations where kids can make cornhusk dolls, teasel creatures, and horrorgami.
