FARMINGTON -- The regular cancer screening clinics for women, held in conjunction with the Davis County Health Department, will be held in three sites during August. Each examination includes a breast exam, Pap test, and a free mammogram voucher to those who qualify. A registered nurse, trained and certified by the state, performs all exams. Fees are based on a sliding scale. Locations and dates of the clinics follow:

Bountiful -- Lakeview Hospital, 620 E. Medical Drive, suite 350, Aug. 3. Same-day mammograms will be available.

Woods Cross -- South Davis clinic, 596 W. 751 South, Mondays, Aug. 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Layton -- Davis North Medical Building, 1660 W. Antelope Dr., Thursdays, Aug. 10, 17, 24 and 31. Same-day mammograms will be available.

To make an appointment, call 451-3230.

"Regular mammograms, combined with clinical breast exams by a health care provider and monthly breast self-examination are the best means to detect breast cancer early, when it is the most treatable," said Lewis Garrett, director of the Davis County Health department.
