KAYSVILLE -- The week of Independence Day will be crazy in Kaysville. While all the festivities going on that week are enough to make most anyone crazy, the real source of craziness will be "Crazy for You," a play being presented at the Davis High School Auditorium. "Crazy for You" is a George and Ira Gershwin play that includes music, tap-dancing and comedy. Director Kristin Barlow, who has directed the city's Independence Day play for seven years, said she thinks the play will be a hit. "It's not a very well known play," she said. "But people love it when they see it."
The play will run from July 4-9. The performance on July 4 will be at 2:00 p.m. Performances all other days will be at 7:00 p.m.
Barlow, who said "Crazy for You"is the first play she saw on Broadway, believes this is a play for all ages.
"It's such a fun show," she said. "People from the older generation will recognize the music and the younger will like the dancing."
This year's cast includes 41 people. Barlow said most plays the city does include 40-55 people.
Tickets for the show are $5/seat. A whole family, up to six people, can see the show for $20. All ages are invited.
