The Bountiful boys are peaking at the right time of year, having won four in a row and eight out of nine games heading into next week's state tournament. On Friday, the Braves got a tough road victory against Box Elder 57-54. They were able to tighten up their defense and get key buckets in crunch time, something they have been especially strong at in recent games against Woods Cross and Mountain Crest. Bountiful will be a tough team to match up with for any team in the state tournament because they have a versatile lineup with multiple scoring threats.

They have the size to play with anyone, with center Ben Aird developing into one of the most dominant big men in the state, and they have the athleticism to pressure teams full-court.

Davis wraps up Region 1

Although it has been a foregone conclusion ever since they beat Northridge over one week ago, Davis officially won the Region 1 championship with a 67-55 win over Weber Friday night.

The game was closer than expected and the Darts had to have a late 10-0 run to close out the win.

It has been a sensational year for the Darts (10-1, 18-2) who are expected to go deep into next week's state tournament.

Davis showed once again that they are an explosive team Friday night. In almost every one of their victories this season, the Darts have gone on a 2- to 5-minute run where they build a double-digit lead.

Brian Green led all scorers against Weber with 22 points. Nick Martineau had 14 points and Brady Hurst added 12 points.
