LAYTON -- There's a new option to celebrate New Year's and it enables residents to stay in Davis County. From 9 p.m.-1 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, "Rockin' in the New Year" will take place at the Davis Conference Center in Layton. Music from the 1950s, 60s and 70s will provide a backdrop for the dance, featuring the "Mid Life Crisis," a Davis County-based group. In addition to the music, finger foods will be provided. Cost is $30 per couple. All proceeds will benefit the Davis Arts Council.
The adjacent Hilton Garden Inn is offering an $89 package for two that includes the dance, one night's stay and breakfast for two the next morning. For more information or to RSVP, call 416-8888.
