The first play to open is Bountiful Performing Arts Center's "Murder Room," directed by Craig Camp. Perfect for the Halloween season, "Murder Room" offers suspense and lots of laughs.. The crazy plot will leave everyone wondering. Set on a contemporary small English estate, most of the action occurs in one elaborately outfitted room over a weekend. "Murder Room" plays Oct. 6-28 Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Farmington's dinner theater will present "Arsenic and Old Lace" Oct. 11, 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m., with a matinee at 1 p.m. on Oct. 14, at the Community Arts Center, located at 120 S. Main St. A refreshing breath of screwball comedy, this play mixes the madcap, the surreal and the sinister. A roast beef dinner will be served at evening performances. Tickets may be purchased at the Leisure Services Office located at 720 W. 100 North or online at www.farmington.utah.gov. Tickets are $12 per person for dinner and the show ($ 6 for matinee). Reservations must be made before Oct. 6.
Rodgers Memorial Theatre in Centerville will begin showing "Pajama Game" Oct. 13. Tickets are available at the box office or by calling 298-1302. The play tells the story of a feisty employee representative demanding a raise who may have found her match in the shop superintendent. With comedy, romance and wit, the play has wide appeal.
