UDOT says the two north-bound lanes will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge over Pages Lane in Centerville, at approximately 1600 North on I-15 (milepost 318.4), from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday evening July 5, to Wednesday morning July 6; and Wednesday evening July 6, to Thursday morning July 7. The south-bound lanes of I-15 will be unaffected by this work, and peak commuter traffic will be unaffected at any time. Pages Lane will also be closed during this same timeframe during this work.
These lane closures are necessary to facilitate the widening of the Pages Lane bridge for the addition of an auxiliary lane now being constructed on north-bound I-15, between the 500 West (US-89) ramp to I-15 in Bountiful and the Parrish Lane interchange in Centerville. This auxiliary lane is designed to enhance the safety of traffic merging on to, and exiting I-15 in this specific zone.
Motorists should merge to the left as soon as they see signs indicating that lanes ahead are closed. Motorists should also reduce speed, increase awareness of workers and equipment working adjacent to the open lanes of travel, and be prepared to stop at any time. Traffic normally using Pages Lane during this time frame should detour via SR-106 (400 North) in Bountiful, or Parrish Lane (SR-105) in Centerville.
For more information about this closure motorists or local residents can call 801-448-2930 or e-mail I-15parrishlane@vox-creative.com.
