KAYSVILLE -- It may be a week later than other communities, but Kaysville figures observing Fire Prevention Week on Wednesday, Oct. 19, will give it a better chance to make a "splash."
Fire Chief Brett Larkin says that means being able to bring in a Life Flight helicopter, UHP personnel and equipment, and other items as a way to bring home the need for fire prevention and safety measures. "We should have a lot of things for people to see and do," during the event at the fire station, 4-9 p.m., the chief said. "We've always got a few smoke alarms here, are contacting different vendors to get some discount coupons, etc." There will also be tours, videos, and a chance for the kids to inspect fire engines, and the like, up close.
