Mayors of the five cities involved have been selected to represent their cities by the various city councils and were formally named by the commission. They include Joe Johnson, Bountiful; Michael Deamer, Centerville; Kay Briggs, North Salt Lake; Carl Martin, West Bountiful; and Jerry Larrabee, Woods Cross.
Commissioners selected and approved: Commission Chairman Dannie McConkie, who lives in the unincorporated area served by the district; Darrel R. Twede, also of the unincorporated area; and Steve Rawlings, county clerk/auditor, and a North Salt Lake resident.
Members will serve staggered terms. An organization meeting has been set for Sept. 8.
