On Sept. 13, 1947, Bill Hoagland and Eleanor Fassman were married at the Lion House in Salt Lake City. Two years later they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Fifty-three years ago, in 1954, they bought their first home in Bountiful, where they lived and raised their family of five children. Those five children have extended into 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ten times Bill and Eleanor have changed addresses within Bountiful during those 53 years. In the process they have met many wonderful and exceptional people who have become lifetime friends.

Bountiful is a beautiful place to raise and educate children and to become acquainted with "salt of the earth" folks. In a nutshell, the past 60 years is summarized as: "It's been a bumpy ride, but the scenery has been spectacular."
