"I just couldn't think of all of those people I needed to thank," Wood said recently, "so I decided the best thing to do would be to let people know I was retiring."
Wood has worked with more than two generations of families needing jobs and many employers in Davis County. She spent 25 years at Employment Security (Job Service) and then went on board with the Department of Workforce Services (DWS) when Job Service dissolved into it.
She started in the Farmington office in 1972 then moved on to the Layton office. From there she went to the Clearfield West and is retiring out the Clearfield Employment Center.
"I've worked all my state career in Davis County assisting employers and matching people to jobs," Wood concluded.
