Mayor kicks off Jamba Juice

WEST BOUNTIFUL -- With the help of Mayor James Behunin serving as a "celebrity blender," the new West Bountiful Jamba Juice celebrated its grand opening last week at its location inside the new Commons at West Bountiful.

Mayor Behunin started up the event by putting on an apron and making himself a Peach Passion smoothie, which was then followed by a ribbon cutting outside in front of the building. Free samples of wheatgrass to drink were also offered, and the first five customers to walk into the store during the grand opening were given $25 gift certificates.

"It's great to be promoting another business in the West Bountiful community, and we'll do everything we can to promote further projects and businesses to make sure great things happen here," Mayor Behunin said. "Business is very important to us in our community, and we're excited this will bring more support and growth to the West Bountiful commercial district."

"We opened in July, and this is the second Jamba Juice in Davis County," Jamba Juice Manager Tori Rawlins said. "It's a beautiful location, and the whole building and strip we are located in are amazing. It's also nice that 20 percent of the sales from the grand opening day will go to support the Boys and Girls Club."

Farmers rewards good drivers

WOODS CROSS -- Farmers Insurance Exchange in Woods Cross is now introducing "Farmers FlexSM," a unique package of options that can reward drivers for being accident-free. Utah was the first state in the country to carry the FlexSM program, which began at the Woods Cross location the first of August.

"Our research shows that our policyholders want the flexibility of being able to choose the exact auto coverage that will fit their individual or family needs," said Kevin Kelso, Farmers President of Personal Lines. "We packaged Farmers FlexSM coverage into three affordable options that are now available to many of our current and future customers in Utah."

There are three options. "Plus" waives any accident surcharge for one chargeable accident for renewal offers during a three year term. "Premier" waives any accident surcharge for one chargeable accident for renewal offers during a three year term, and it locks in base rates for renewal offers during a two-year term. "Premier" will also give a deductible for collision coverage that declines right away, and it declines again for every 12 months with no chargeable accidents.

The Ultimate package waives any accident surcharge for any number of chargeable accidents for renewal offers during a three year term, and it locks in base rates for renewal offers during a three year term. Ultimate gives a deductible for both collision and comprehensive coverage that decline right away and decline again for every 12 months following with no chargeable accidents.

"Farmers also offers a New Car Pledge with Farmers FlexSM," Kelso said. "If, during the first 24 months or 24,000 miles of use, your new insured car is declared a total loss from a covered loss, Farmers will pay to replace it with a new one of the same make and model, with no depreciation. If your new car is repairable, we will use only original equipment manufacturer parts for the repairs when they are available, and Farmers agents throughout Idaho are available to explain the new Farmers FlexSM program."

Agency Development Manager Matthew Sloop said he was excited to give new and existing clients multi-accident forgiveness with the new program.

"Accidents will always happen, so it's good to know that families and households in Davis County will have access to this," he said. "It's nice to be part of a company that opens their ears up to consumers to see what they want."
