Jr. ROTC took over the cheerleaders' usual task of doing push-ups for every point the Knights scored by the end of the game when the final score was Knights 38, and Vikings 20.
Both teams were closely matched as they battled their way into the night with screaming Northridge and Viewmont fans on each side.
Northridge's Brian Eteuati caught an astounding pass right by the ten-yard line in the third quarter.
Despite the Knights' lead throughout the entire game, Viewmont gave Northridge a scare at the end of the third quarter when they went from six to 13 points, closing the gap between the two teams.
Northridge's dance team, the Cardinelles, performed during half time and were followed up by Northridge cheerleaders with a special routine designed especially for Home-coming.
Had Northridge's success not been so resounding by the last five minutes (really 15 minutes), more people might have stuck around longer to see who could take away the game.
