FARMINGTON -- A South Ogden woman hanged herself last week in the Davis County Jail.
Kimberly Curtis, 38, was found about 1:50 a.m. Friday in her cell. Guards had checked on her about 1 a.m., during regular rounds, according to a sheriff's spokesman.
The woman was picked up in Liberty Park three days earlier in SaltLakeCity and booked into jail there, before being transferred to the DavisCounty Jail on an outstanding drug warrant from 2nd District Court.
Curtis was not placed on a suicide watch, as she had given no indication that was her intent. She was in a single cell at the time. Deputies attempted resuscitating the woman.
Man waives voyeurism hearing
FARMINGTON -- The man caught earlier this summer allegedly looking up girl's skirts at the Centerville SuperTarget waived a preliminary hearing in court on Friday and will be arraigned on August 26.
Clinton resident Tyler Scott Rosen, 33, was arrested and booked into the DavisCounty Jail on June 24, on 3rd degree felony voyeurism, after police recovered a bag and camera allegedly used to film up girls' skirts at the Centerville SuperTarget store. On Friday, prosecutors added another count after officers identified a second victim.
Night out against crime set in Layton
LAYTON -- The Layton Commons Park will be alive with activity, Tuesday night, as Layton City Police Department hosts its annual National Night Out Against Crime activity, 6-9 p.m.
A variety of displays, games and activities are planned. Last year's effort brought national recognition to the city, as it ranked in the top 20 of 250 cities of similar population that participated.
