CJH bands, choir give holiday show

CENTERVILLE -- Yesterday, the Centerville Junior High music department held two holiday concerts.The first concert featured the beginning band, intermediate band, string orchestra and the eighth-grade boys and girls choir. The second concert featured the advanced band, jazz band, concert orchestra, concert choir and Madrigals.



Davis School Board meeting set

FARMINGTON -- The Davis School District Board of Education will be meeting at 3 p.m. today for a workshop and at 5:30 p.m. for a board meeting.



Davis High bands to perform

KAYSVILLE -- The Davis High jazz and percussion bands will be performing at 7 p.m. today at Davis High School.



Viewmont bands to perform

BOUNTIFUL -- The Viewmont High bands will be presenting a Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow, Wednesday, Dec. 13.



Holbrook Elem. to perform on KOSY

BOUNTIFUL -- On Thursday, the Holbrook Elementary Christmas choir will perform live on KOSY 106.5 radio at 8:15 and 8:45 a.m. The choir is under the direction of Michelle Schmidt, with Jon Schmidt on the piano.



Muir students to go on field trip

BOUNTIFUL -- Fifth-grade students at Muir Elementary will be taking a service-learning field trip from 9 a.m. to noon. They will go to a day care with many students who don't have books in the home. The fifth-graders will read to the students and then present them with a Christmas gift book.



CHS to present Christmas show

CLEARFIELD -- On Thursday, Clearfield High School students will present the melodrama "CSI: Christmas Scene Investigators" (or "Who Stole Santa Claus?") at 7 p.m.



Cadets visit Veterans' Hospital

SALT LAKE CITY -- On Thursday, 50 cadets and instructors from Northridge High's Air Force JROTC will be Christmas caroling at the Veterans Hospital.
