BOUNTIFUL -- The annual "Ms. Utah Senior America Pageant" (MUSA) will be Saturday, August 5, 2005, 7 p.m. at the Golden Years Senior Center, 726 South 100 East, Bountiful, Utah. MUSA is an affiliate of the National "Ms. Senior America, Inc." (see www.senior america.org for more information), a 31-year old non-profit service organization that features women of elegance, 60 years or older. Some of Utah's fabulous "women of elegance" will be competing to be crowned Queen. If selected as Utah's winner, she receives an all-expense paid trip to represent the State of Utah at the National Pageant in Las Vegas, Nev., Nov. 6 -12, 2006.

During the year, the Utah Queen will share her talent and "service" performing with the entertainment/service wing of "Ms. Senior America, Inc.", the Cameo Club. It is comprised of former contestants, queens and directors who make various appearances around the state at senior citizen centers, hospitals, care facilities, and entertain for businesses, etc.

Contestants have a Judges' Interview, present on stage a 35-second or less memorized "Philosophy of Life," appear in a modest evening gown and share a talent not to exceed two minutes 45 seconds. A panel of Judges will do the scoring.

The public is invited to attend the pageant. Women are invited from all over the state of Utah to participate -- or nominate the woman of choice. The pageant is free of charge.
