1940--2007



Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend John, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home in North Salt Lake, Sunday March 18, 2007, due to natural causes.

He was born January 21, 1940 in Kemmerer, WY, the son of the late Dan K. and Dorothy Kirk Hansen.

John is survived by his wife Sally Hansen, step children, Lisa McCarver, Scott (Chelsey) King, Heather, and his much-loved grandchildren, Quinten and Gavin McCarver. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy (John) Knight, Steven (Dianne) Hansen, Linda (Gary) Zobell, David (Melony) Hansen, Juelle (Keith) Sorensen, and Mariane (Jay) Harwood, as well as many friends.

A truck driver by trade, John was a volunteer for the Bountiful Jeep Posse for 45 years, the best times of which were the annual buffalo roundups on Antelope Island and the camaraderie with fellow members (sometimes once a day.) The Jeep Posse will provide honor guard services. He was member of the LDS Church.

Graveside funeral services will be Friday, March 23, 2007, at 2 pm in the Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful (Two blocks south of LDS Temple). Friends may call at Lakeview Cemetery from 1-2 pm prior to the graveside service. Directors Independent Funeral Service of Bountiful.
