I didn't bestir myself enough to attend either the City Council or Liquor Commission hearing on the variance for El Matador but am delighted the variance was granted. No child entering the library will be aware that beer is being served at El Matador unless a parent or someone else informs him or her.
I enjoy a beer with Mexican food and am insulted that this is equated with drunkenness.
I suspect that my dismay echoes the feelings that active LDS members experience when the teachings of their religion are confused in the media with those of the FLDS.
