LAYTON -- The Utah Division of State Parks is hosting a meeting Tuesday, May 15, 7-8:30 p.m. at 748 W. Heritage Park Blvd., second floor.

Input will be sought for the Antelope Island State Park Resource Management Plan. The plan will identify issues relating to public use, resource management and future park development. The plan is intended to make recommendations to park managers for the next 10 years.

"This is the second largest attraction in Davis County," says Barbara Riddle, CEO of the Davis Convention & Visitors Bureau. It is ranked 20th for attractions across the state.

"We need to participate in discussion on ways to improve the tourism experience by perhaps investing in first and last impressions, facilities, the overall quality of the experience and a need to protect long term sustainability of the wildlife experience currently enjoyed by visitors," she says.

A public hearing will be held May 30, 7 p.m., in Room 1050 of the Utah Department of Natural Resources Building, 1594 W. North Temple, in Salt Lake City.
