New station manager sought for Davis Channel 17

FARMINGTON -- Davis Cable Channel 17, a public, educational, and governmental (PEG) television and web-cast channel serving all of Davis County, is seeking a new Station Manager to direct its day-to-day production, sponsorship, and community interaction activities. Davis Cable Channel 17 is operated by the Davis Chamber of Commerce as a public affairs resource to promote and enhance community involvement and economic development in Davis County.

Davis Chamber President and CEO John Pitt said the successful applicant for the Station Manager position will demonstrate program sponsorship and event fundraising skills, news and public affairs program production skills, community interaction, public relations, and networking skills, web design and distribution skills.

"We are looking to increase Channel 17's involvement so that it becomes a 360-degree community outreach resource. We want it to be the leading destination for anybody seeking information and entertainment programming related specifically to Davis County. Under the new manager's direction, Channel 17 will have a presence before, during, and after events and activities of note from North Salt Lake to South Weber," said Pitt.

The Davis Chamber Board will accept applications for this position through March 14, 2007.
