'Creating Changes Day' aids Safe Harbor

LAYTON -- Women will be given the opportunity to pamper themselves with a mini massage, manicure and makeover for only $15, with the proceeds benefitting the Safe Harbor Crisis Center and Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.

"Creating Changes Day," set for Oct. 16, is a fundraiser for prevention of domestic violence and breast cancer research. The day's activities will he held at the Holiday Inn Express, 1695 Woodland Park Drive, Layton, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling Patty Conner-Rose at 771-8896 or (801) 391-5099.

Safe Harbor is a nonprofit organization providing safety and supportive services to victims of domestic violence. The Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation is a nonprofit organization which provides funds for cancer research and women's issues of domestic violence.

"We at Mary Kay are committed to helping the local community, said Conner-Rose. "This fundraiser will be of great help to Safe Harbor and he women affected by domestic violence.
