FARMINGTON -- With fall rapidly approaching, Farmington City officials wish to remind residents of the city's policy on leaf pickup.

The city is responsible to pick up leaves in the following areas: Main Street from 100 South to 500 North, State Street from 400 West to 300 East, 200 West from State Street to 200 South and 400 North from Main Street to 100 East.

The sweeper will be in these areas on a regular basis. Residents should not put any sticks or twigs more than six inches long in the gutter, as such debris plugs the vacuum hose. People who do not live in these areas should not rake their leaves into the street.

More information is available on the city Web site, www.farmington.utah.gov. dradunich@davisclipper.com
