BDAC holds discussion on funding

BOUNTIFUL -- On Friday, Oct. 14, a panel discussion on public funding and the arts was held at the Bountiful/Davis Art Center in conjunction with the Reunion-Bountiful Art Center, 1974-1985 exhibition. Public funding for the arts on city, county and state levels has been pivotal to the success of the Bountiful/

Davis Art Center since its founding in 1974. Bountiful Mayor Joe Johnson, Utah Representative Sheryl Allen, Davis County Commission Chairman Carol Page and a representative from the Utah Arts Council participated in this important discussion on using public tax dollars to support arts and cultural programs.
