The Standard-Examiner Classic Race will be held on September 22, 2007. As in the past, the event will feature a 10K run, a 5K run and a 2-mile walk.

The 10K and 5K race will start at the Intermountain Layton Clinic, 1275 N. 1200 West of Antelope Drive and will finish at the Layton Commons Park.

Racers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate and compete.

The advance registration fee for the race will be $15-25. Registration includes a long- sleeved T-shirt.

Intermountain McKay-Dee Hospital Center is a new co-sponsor for this year's race.

Keeping with the tradition of the original Standard-Examiner Classic, all proceeds from the race will go to McKay-Dee Hospital's Heart Services Program.

"The Standard-Examiner Classic has a long history of benefit to the community and increasing the awareness of healthy lifestyles," said Lee Carter, publisher for the Standard-Examiner.

"We are excited to have an organization, such as McKay-Dee Hospital, join with us to broaden the reach and impact of this event,"
