1923--2007
My wonderful sister passed away December 19, 2007 after a long and hard battle with cancer.
Born in Bountiful, Utah on April 4, 1923 to Alfred W. Boulton and Amy Maland Boulton. Married Preston H. Hughes, May 26, 1954. Marie attended David County Schools and graduated from Davis High School in 1941. Marie has lived the past 7 hears with her sister, Leola Hatch in Morgan, Utah. She worked in the Trucking Industry for Ringsby Truck Lines and Garrett Freight for over 40 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. She was a P.B.X. Switch Board Operator for Ringsby and belonged to the International P.B.X. Club.
After her retirement from the trucking industry, she went to work for the Salt Palace and was there for about 17 years. She loved to work and worked hard. Marie was a king loving person, never had a selfish bone in her body, always doing for others before her self.
She did beautiful handwork, loved gardening and animals.
Preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband; a sister, Alene; and brother Elden. Survived by her sister, Leola Hatch; 4 nephews, Douglas and Jim Boulton and Craig and Paul Hatch; and sister-in-law, Clara Boulton.
In honoring Marie's wishes, there will be no funeral services. A visitation will be held at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2007. We would like to thank Applegate Hospice for all the loving care they gave Marie during this very hard time. A special thanks to Julie Ragan who has been an angel to Marie.
