Edward was born in Bountiful Jan. 29, 1918, to James H. and Eugenia Rampton. With the exception of 12 years of church, Army service and work callings he has lived in Bountiful his entire life.
He married Cleo Clark Sept. 22, 1947. They have four children, T. Anne George, Carol Cottam, Ted Rampton and Marial Rampton-Green. They also have 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Ed was an avid hunter and fisherman until he became restricted in some of his favorite past-times. He still fishes when he can.
