DAVIS COUNTY -- As part of its mission to sustain a vibrant local economy and to unite the business community, the Davis Chamber is pleased to sponsor a trio of key business-building events in the coming weeks. Each event provides a public forum to help Davis County businesses enhance their public image, improve their management practices and expand their bottom line.

The first event is the Davis Chamber's monthly membership luncheon: 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 21, at the Castlebrook Reception in Layton. The program will feature presentations from the fastest growing businesses in Davis County as determined by Utah Business magazine. Executive representatives from Fusion Holdings, Specialized Health Products, and Companion Systems Design & Manufacturing will discuss how they came to be named among the 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in Utah. They'll also share tips on what other businesses can do to increase their rate of growth. Admission for the event is $15 for Chamber members, $20 for non-members.

The second event is the Davis Chamber Business-2-Business Expo: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at the Davis Conference Center. More than 40 Davis County businesses (large and small) will be on hand to demonstrate their products and services to other businesses and to the general public. Exposition space and sponsorship opportunities are still available to businesses.

Come for a few minutes or stay for the entire day. This is an ideal opportunity to strengthen business relationships throughout the county. Admittance to the Business-2-Business Expo is free to the public.

The third business building event on the Davis Chamber horizon is the Northern Utah Business and Economic Summit: 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, at the Davis Conference Center.

This is an opportunity to learn from experts in a wide variety of economic development specialties. The agenda includes panel discussions, workshops and training presentations on issues impacting all aspects of business in Northern Utah.

Nationally known economist Jeff Thredgold will be the keynote speaker. Admission for this day-long event is $75 and includes meals and all materials. Group discounts are available.
