Utah Transit Authority has requested that a portion of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Corridor it owns from West Bountiful through West Haven, Weber County, be designated as a future transportation corridor so the right-of-way can be protected and preserved. The corridor is currently designated in the Rails to Trails program. It is presently in use as a trail.
