LAYTON -- Stephen P. (Pat) Condon has been named Vice President, Strategy and Executive Consulting for a new Shipley Associates strategic business unit.

The unit is part of Logistics Specialties, Inc. (LSI) and is the nations leader in best-practice solutions for businesses pursuing strategic government contracts.

"Because LSI and Shipley Associates provide support to clients across the entire business development area, we can assist at any stage of support that is needed," said Condon. "Many organizations struggle to evaluate strategic business opportunities from a customer perspective."

Condon served on active duty for the United States Air Force for 33 years, retiring as a Major General. He was the former commander of the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill AFB.

Sean Slatter, President and CEO of LSI, is excited to have Condon serve at his new post.

"Pat Condon bring solid experience and hands-on success in all elements of the integrated business development life cycle," said Slatter. "By adding senior officials such as he to our corporate structure, we can only enhance what we currently offer our clients while adding value to our proven strategies."

Liberty Tax offering free services

DAVIS COUNTY -- Liberty Tax Service is offering to prepare tax returns at no charge until March 31, 2008, for select taxpayers who have no tax liability.

"We want to help people who do not normally have to file a return get the rebate they are entitled to receive," said Stacey Clark of Liberty Tax. "Many people who receive Social Security and veterans benefits are likely to overlook this opportunity to get the stimulus payment.

"Last year, over 30 million taxpayers missed the telephone excise tax credit that was due to them. We don't want that to occur with the tax stimulus package."

As part of the free service, Liberty Tax will be mounting a public awareness campaign to ensure that everyone entitled to a stimulus payment is notified.

Anyone who has questions can e-mail at taxrebates@lib
