Trial date set again for Drommond

FARMINGTON -- Another trial date has been set for accused murderer David Edward Drommond.

The new trial date has been set for Feb. 4, 2008, and is expected to last two weeks.

The trial date for the man accused of killing his former wife, Janeil, as she dropped off the couple's children for a visit at his Bountiful apartment, has been rescheduled five times.

This latest postponement was to allow mental health experts to determine if he was competent to stand trial. It was determined that he is capable of standing trial.

Drommond is also charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting his father-in-law as he ran to help his daughter.

He could face the death penalty if convicted.

Johnson is weatherization director

Last week's article, "A career with a purpose," incorrectly listed the name of the weatherization director for the State of Utah.

The director's name should have been listed as Mike Johnson of West Bountiful.
