WALKER LANSBARKIS

Walker Lansbarkis, son of Jim and Nona Lansbarkis, will receive the Eagle Scout Award on March 11, 2007. He is a member of Troop 220, sponsored by the Bountiful Elks Lodge. Pat Smith is his Scoutmaster. Walker earned 83 merit badges.

For his Eagle project Walker created a puppet show on environmental education for elementary age kids. Walker and his crew wrote and recorded the script, designed and built the puppets and set and practiced hard. They performed the story twice for almost 100 people. They also had handouts for the kids. Altogether they put in over 160 hours on this project to get the message out about storm-water pollution.

Walker chose to do this project because he believes that the environment lessons kids learn may stick with them and instill good habits when they get older.
