Teacher awarded grant

FARMINGTON -- Farmington Junior High teacher Brent Blackburn was recently awarded a $2,500 grant from Best Buy. The money was used to promote technology in education and will benefit the entire school.



West Point creates nature center

WEST POINT -- West Point Elementary has created a five-acre nature center. The property is owned by West Point City and the city has agreed to allow the school to use it. The land has three ponds, a walking path, several different types of grasses and plants and is home to mallards, herons and sand cranes. Students will learn about animals and the natural environment with the nature center.



Guthmiller speaks at conference

BOUNTIFUL -- School Psychologist Intern Mark Guthmiller from Muir Elementary recently gave a presentation with University of Utah Associate Professor of Special Education John Hosp, titled "Factors Impacting the Educational Success of Latino Students" at the National Associate of School Psychologists conference in New York City.



Students awarded at Mueller Park Jr.

BOUNTIFUL -- Mueller Park Junior High has rewarded six students with Panther Pride awards. These students were selected by the faculty for their excellence in citizenship, academics, service and examples. The students are pictured below.
