Beatrice Smith Winterton passed away Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 surrounded by her loving family. Born Dec. 23, 1919 to Samuel Lee Smith and Rachel Ann Jones in Heber City, Utah. Married Clair William Winterton June 20, 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in a double ceremony with her twin sister, Berniece.

Her life was full and rich. Her greatest joy was life with Clair, her family and numberless friends. Her love for the Savior was prominent in everything she did. Active in the church and held numerous callings. Loved to crochet, quilt, sew, read, scrapbooks and cooking. To know her was to love her and acquire a lifetime friend. She wintered in St. George, spent summers in Centerville. She will be missed by countless family and friends.

Survived by children, Hal (Nadene), Cedar City; Janet Dye, Centerville; Lee (Julene), Tucson, AZ; June (Russell) Long, Layton; brother, Roy Smith, Nephi; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and two daughters.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 26, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 610 Rowland Way, Centerville, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6- 8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
